Wuhan virologist talks about other types of coronavirus

(ORDO NEWS) — Shi Zhengli, a specialist at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, said that bats in the south and southwest of China are carriers of other coronaviruses that can be transmitted to humans.

This is stated in an article by The Guardian.

According to the expert, coronaviruses can also be spread naturally in South Asian countries outside of China.

She also stated that despite the fact that bats were the original carrier of coronaviruses, the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus was initially transmitted to another, intermediate animal, after which it reached humans.

According to her, it is necessary to determine this intermediate carrier.
