US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The Sun does not have enough mass to collapse into a black hole. In billions of years, when the sun comes to the end of its life, it will turn into a giant red star.
Then, when it uses up all its fuel, the star will drop its outer layers and turn into a flaming gas ring, called a planetary nebula. Finally, all that remains of the Sun is the cooling white dwarf.
