WHO thinks “patient zero” could be a Wuhan lab worker

(ORDO NEWS) — Experts who are trying to establish exactly where the SARS-CoV-2 virus came from suggest 4 different versions at once.

At the same time, the option that the infection came from a bat is considered the most plausible. Ben Embarek told about it. He also added that “patient zero” could well be one of the employees of the laboratory in Wuhan, who contracted the coronavirus from a bat. It is reported by TV2.

Some time ago, WHO said that the laboratory origin of a dangerous virus is unlikely. To date, the opinion of experts has changed and they made completely different conclusions.

Embarek noted that the coronavirus may be related to the research work that was carried out in Wuhan. The experts then examined the bats, as well as samples that were collected in the “field.”

WHO representatives met with laboratory staff and spoke with some of them. However, no documentation regarding the study of the coronavirus was provided. Such behavior, according to WHO, may indicate that there was still a human error, which the authorities are trying to carefully hide.

Embarek said that today they are considering only four options for where the coronavirus could come from.

Infection could have come from a bat or from a product that contained a virus. A bat could transmit the disease to another animal, from which it had already passed to humans. The latest version is the artificial origin and creation of the coronavirus in the Wuhan laboratory.
