Who is behind the sabotage at the Nord Stream

(ORDO NEWS) — The sabotage at the Nord Streams is the work of America, and there is a number of evidence for this, writes Evrensel. Because of the accident, the EU has lost the gas supplies it needs so much. But for the United States, which seeks to subjugate the European states, all means are good.

Since September 26, when four acts of sabotage were committed on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines with a length of 1.2 thousand kilometers, which ensure the supply of natural gas directly from Russia to Germany, the question of who staged these attacks has been discussed. . Statements from both Russia and the EU clearly point to the fact that such major sabotage against protected pipes at a depth of 100-150 meters underwater could only be carried out with the participation of the state. During the explosion, shocks with a force of 2.2 on the Richter scale were recorded.

Sabotage in areas near the island of Bornholm is being investigated by a commission formed by Germany, Sweden and Denmark.

Various conspiracy theories are being voiced as to who might have carried out the sabotage. The US and EU Front comes up with a version that Russia could have committed sabotage because of the Ukrainian conflict. Although no concrete evidence is given, it is alleged that the country damaged its own property in order to increase pressure on Europe. Both lines were built by Gazprom and billions of euros were spent on them.

The likelihood that the United States is behind the sabotage is much higher.

The following is cited as the main evidence: the United States has been opposing the work of Nord Stream 2 for many years. On February 7, Biden openly said: “There will be no more Nord Stream 2. We will put an end to it. I promise we can do it.”

“If Russia attacks Ukraine, there will be no Nord Stream 2,” US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said in January. And after the recent explosions, Biden noted that it was “deliberate sabotage.”

When we put these statements together, it seems that the White House has decided to do away with Nord Stream 2 one way or another. Trump has been putting pressure on Merkel for four years to ensure that the gas pipeline is not put into operation. So, even before the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, on February 22, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced to the whole world that the certification of Nord Stream 2 was stopped, referring to “Russia’s preparation for military operations against Ukraine.” Thus, the pressure paid off, and Washington achieved its goal.

However, judging by the versions expressed, there are other signals in favor of the fact that the United States was not content with stopping the supply of gas through the Nord Stream lines and actually disabled the gas pipelines as a result of sabotage.

The most concrete of these is that the ships of the American navy swarm for months in the Baltic Sea, along the bottom of which pipelines run. One of the largest US Navy ships has been conducting exercises in the Baltic Sea since August.

“The US Navy group included the landing ships USS Arlington and USS Gunston Hall, as well as the warship USS Kearsarge. As part of NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea, American ships in the region called at the ports of Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Germany. USS Kearsarge was the largest ship of the US Navy deployed in the Baltic Sea in the last 30 years. In addition to dozens of helicopters and combat aircraft, the ship carried 2,000 troops, and two escort ships, another 1,000.”

Nord Stream has become the epitome of strategic cooperation between Germany and Russia in the Baltic Sea. In the first half of 2021, it met 18% of Europe’s natural gas needs. About the American warships that cruised over the Nord Streams, one can say: “They certainly could do something, even if they didn’t do anything on purpose.”

Another important piece of evidence that the US may have been responsible for the sabotage is that immediately after the first bombing, former Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski tweeted “Thank you USA”, accompanying it with a picture of the leak. After the reaction of the Polish government, Sikorski removed the post. However, it is still unclear why he posted it.

It is also noteworthy that Poland, considered among the countries that could undermine gas pipelines, has access to the Baltic Sea, and the leaks occurred not so far from this country. When we put the data together, the likelihood that the US and its collaborators were behind the sabotage seems much higher than that the accident was the work of Russia and Germany.

Bitterness and confrontation for the redistribution of the map shows how irresponsible, dangerous and merciless to nature and man can be the imperialist states, defending their interests. In this regard, it is important what results the joint investigation of Germany, Denmark and Sweden will give. If, of course, the results will be.

At the same time, in the case of documentary confirmation that the United States and its closest allies are behind the sabotage, a significant turning point in transatlantic relations may occur.

After all, the lack of Russian energy resources, on the one hand, begins to pull the European and, in particular, the German economy down, and on the other hand, to increase their dependence on the United States. And for America, which subjugates the European imperialist states, all means are good.
