(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists have found that, most likely, the water was formed with the help of two elements. This is the solar wind and cosmic dust.
According to a study published in Nature Astronomy, the first water on Earth could have been formed from two components.
This is cosmic dust and solar wind. This study was carried out by scientists from the University of Glasgow (UK). During it, samples from the asteroid Itokawa were studied.
According to the report, the water could have spilled in the form of some kind of rain in the form of dust particles.
They were supposed to be formed due to the interaction of a stream of particles that emanate from the sun, as well as the solar wind with bodies in the solar system.
Also, experts in the report add that it was such a mechanism that could be the missing part, which could explain the large amount of water on our planet and the chemical composition of this water.
Researchers believe that water can also be found in the surface rocks of most space objects, including the Moon and asteroids.
