Weather anomalies await humanity in May, June And July

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The World Meteorological Organization has warned that in May, June and July of this year, quite serious weather anomalies await humanity.

Experts said that at this time the temperature of the air and the surface of the ocean will increase. This will be especially noticeable in most of the countries of the Northern Hemisphere, as well as in tropical latitudes. At the same time, insufficient rainfall will occur in South America.

Secretary General Petteri Taalas said that during the spread of the pandemic, it is necessary to have a fairly clear weather forecast and focus on the near future. This can be explained by the fact that air temperature and rainfall will affect the main economic segments, as well as the health system itself. Thanks to the development of a weather forecast for a long period, you can prepare for what will happen in the coming months.

WMO’s forecast was based on data provided by 13 global centers. Based on this information, it was possible to generate a fairly accurate weather forecast for the next 3 months. Modeling of specialists has shown that in the near future the temperature of the atmosphere will increase significantly and will be quite much higher than the previously established norm.

Despite the fact that there is no indication that severe warming will occur, the surface temperature is now at a mark close to the record. It is worth noting that in the entire history of observations, April of this year was the warmest. Also quite high temperatures with all previous years were observed in January, February and early spring.

In the near future, in tropical latitudes, one should expect a strong increase in the temperature of the ocean surface. Because of this, very strong tropical cyclones can occur, as well as coral reefs.

Dr. Boris Revich said that much more people could die from climatic changes of this nature than from a pandemic, because heat is even more dangerous, especially for those who have serious health problems, and there are a lot of them.
