US predicts 2020 Atlantic above-normal hurricane season

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The 2020 hurricane season will most likely be ” above normal ” in the Atlantic, with forecasts of three to six category 3 or more hurricanes, US weather services said on Thursday.

“There is a 60% chance of a season above normal,” with three to six large hurricanes carrying winds of at least 178 km / h between June 1 and November 30, said in a statement,” a press conference by telephone Neil Jacobs, head of the American Oceanic and Atmospheric Observing Agency (NOAA).
