US extended sanctions against Huawei until 2021

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Apparently, trade relations between the United States and China are unlikely to significantly recover in the near future. Not least, this is due to a fresh decision by the United States Government, which decided to extend sanctions against Huawei right up to May 2021.

In connection with the new ban, Huawei will be deprived of the opportunity until May next year to both supply its own products to the United States and have any partnerships with American companies such as Google, Microsoft, etc., which, in turn, provide critical licenses and software.

True, it is worth noting that this ban, although valid from May 2019, is still not fully implemented, since Huawei received temporary licenses from the US Department of Commerce. But given that the last of these temporary licenses expires on May 15, 2020, the question is what is the future of the Chinese manufacturer and whether the US will renew the license.
