(ORDO NEWS) — This is one of those paranormal phenomena that still cannot be explained, but some ufologists have been pointing to it for more than half a century as evidence of the presence of guests from another planet.
A photograph taken by British firefighter Jim Templeton in 1964 with his infant daughter, Elizabeth, shows a man wearing a space suit to protect him from the extremes of space. Templeton told the BBC in 2014 that he never expected what happened next.
What happened was that the photograph of Elizabeth Templeton was plastered on the tabloids and studied by paranormal investigators for decades.
The local Templeton newspaper first published a copy of the photo, then it was printed by the Express and the Daily Mail. Then letters began to arrive from all over the world. Some called it spirit. Some have said that the picture is proof that the Templetons have strange psychic powers.
But the authorities could not find anything in the photo that could confirm such unusual claims. The local police department found nothing in the image to warrant an official investigation, and neither did Kodak.
The company even offered a reward to anyone who could provide proof that the photo of that sunny summer day was faked. No one has ever received this award. All this may have seemed like nothing more than empty talk until the day when a serious pair of “men in black” knocked on Templeton’s door.
This pair of smartly dressed men who called themselves “Number 9” and “Number 11” was not the only strange sign that there really is something to the ufologists’ claims.
Just a couple of days after the Templetons’ one-day trip to the shores of the Solway Firth, technicians working on the rocket test in Australia reported seeing a pair of similar people in spacesuits next to the projectile they were about to launch.
They were shocked when, a few days after the failed rocket launch, they saw a photo of the Solway astronaut in an Australian newspaper.
Then things got even more suspicious when it was revealed that the rocket they were preparing to test was built at an RAF base just a few miles away from where Jim took the mysterious photo of his daughter.
