(ORDO NEWS) — Igor Vovkovinskiy, a native of Ukraine, died in the United States. A message about such a tragic event was published by the man’s mother, Svetlana, on her personal page on the Facebook social network.
Vovkovinskiy became famous for being named the tallest man in the United States in 2010. His height reached incredible rates and was 234.5 centimeters. Igor’s mother said that her son died in the hospital on August 20 as a result of serious heart problems. She also added that before his death, the man had dinner with a huge piece of Kiev cake, washed it down with a fanta. Just a couple of hours before his death, he spent time with his wife and children.
Despite the fact that Vovkovinskiy practically could no longer speak, he still tried to joke. He asked his nephew Andrey if he had managed to learn the Ukrainian language in just a month of his stay in this country.
Igor Vovkovinskiy was born in early autumn 1982 in the Vinnitsa region. When he was seven years old, together with his brother Oleg and mother, they went to the United States. In 2010, he received the title of the country’s tallest man, and two years later he took part in the election campaign as “a big supporter of Barack Obama.”
