Trump says oil production cuts may exceed 10 million barrels
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he had spoken to Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and that he expected Saudi Arabia and Russia to cut oil production by about ten million barrels, as both countries expressed willingness to conclude an agreement.
“I just spoke with my Saudi friend (the crown prince), who spoke to Russian President Putin, and I expect and hope they will cut production by about ten million barrels, and maybe much more, which, if it happens, will be a great thing for the oil and gas industry!” Trump wrote.
