Trump disowned US intelligence agents detained in Venezuela

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — US President Donald Trump said that Washington is not related to the latest events in Venezuela.

During a conversation with reporters at the White House, Trump commented on the words of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro that among the mercenaries who invaded the country were Americans who allegedly were Trump security officers.

“This has nothing to do with our government,” the American leader said.

Earlier, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, said that the personnel of the personal guard of US President Donald Trump, who were part of the naval invasion group in Venezuela, were detained in the country.

On Sunday, Venezuelan Interior Minister Nestor Reverol announced that the authorities prevented the sea invasion of Colombian militants by high-speed boats. Diosdado Cabello, chairman of the National Constitutional Assembly, said one of the detainees was an agent of the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
