
There will be two solar and two lunar eclipses in 2021
(ORDO NEWS) — Two solar and two lunar eclipses will occur in 2021, some of which can be observed in Russia. Sergei Yazev, director of the Astronomical Observatory of Irkutsk State University, told reporters on Thursday.
“In 2021 there will be four eclipses: two solar and two lunar. May 26 – total lunar eclipse. December 4 – total solar eclipse, it will be in the Antarctic region. June 10 will be an annular solar eclipse. Finally, a partial lunar eclipse will be observed on November 19”, – said Yazev.
In Russia, it will be possible to observe an annular solar eclipse, it will be visible on the territory of Yakutia. As Yazev said, the Moon will not be able to obscure the Sun completely, so its edges will shine brightly. In November, residents of Irkutsk will be able to observe a partial lunar eclipse in case of favorable weather conditions.
