US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Czech President Milos Zeman criticized the “ability of the European Union to act together” in the context of the spread of coronavirus. In an interview with Blesk, Zeman said a pandemic would weaken the European Union.
The Czech President believes that the EU leadership reacted too late to the threat of coronavirus , did not draw up any general plan to combat the spread of the threat. In general, EU governing bodies have shown themselves to be “mediocre officials.”
Each state made its own plan for the fight against coronavirus and took its own measures to close borders and take other quarantine measures, etc.
Earlier it was reported that the emergency mode was announced in the Czech Republic on March 12, and four days later a national quarantine was announced. 4.48 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, 62 people died.
