The Sun has a class C1 flare

(ORDO NEWS) — Sunspot AR2773 in the early morning of September 26, triggered a class C1 solar flare. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory has recorded an extreme ultraviolet flare.

A pulse of radiation from the flare ionized the upper part of the Earth’s atmosphere. This caused a minor outage of radio communications in the Pacific. The frequencies affected were mostly below 10 MHz.

This flare is one of the strongest in the young 25th solar cycle, and it breaks the 35-day chain of deep silence and almost complete perfection of our luminary.

Sunspot AR2773 is growing and could cause more eruptions.
