The speed of the future standard Wi-Fi 7

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) —

The speed of the future Wi-Fi 7 standard is named. Its implementation, of course, will not happen soon: now devices with Wi-Fi 6 support are just beginning to appear on the market.

However, information about the new technology has already been leaked to the network.

Sources say that theoretically, the maximum data transfer speed over Wi-Fi 7 can reach 30 Gb / s. For Wi-Fi 6, this figure is 9.6 Gb / s. That is, the future standard will be three times faster than the current one.

At the same time, the current Wi-Fi 6 is 40% faster than the previous Wi-Fi 5 and consumes less power. In addition, Wi-Fi 6 routers are capable of serving more devices at the same time.

Well, and last but not least, the new standard is safer, that is, less vulnerable to hackers.
