The death rate from coronavirus in the world can be twice as high

(ORDO NEWS) — The Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle shocked the world with its information. Scientists of this institute argue that the number of deaths from coronavirus infection can be many times higher.

According to the latest data, 3.2 million people have died from the coronavirus. They also argue that in the future the statistics may turn out to be even sadder.

Scientists have come to the conclusion that the real statistics can be at least twice as high. To get an accurate estimate, the scientists used excess mortality data analysis.

They compared mortality in different countries in the years before the coronavirus pandemic and after it began.

Despite the fact that the calculation is just a mathematical model, its numbers are disappointing. The data proved that theoretically the number of deaths from COVID-19 reaches 6.9 million people.

Given the fact that the pandemic continues to rage in many countries, mortality will only increase in the future.

Also, the previously obtained official data may be inaccurate because in 2019-2020 many deceased people were not tested for the presence of coronavirus.

Many who died from complications caused by the coronavirus were also not included in the statistics. Therefore, the real number of victims is several times higher than that indicated by the WHO statisticians.
