(ORDO NEWS) — Electric vehicle maker Tesla has been fined in the United States for violating National Air Emissions Standards.
The US Environmental Protection Agency fined Tesla $275,000 for violating environmental laws. At the Fremont, California plant, the manufacturer is said to have failed to comply with standards and have not developed or implemented a plan to minimize hazardous air emissions from the mixing, use and storage of EV paint products.
In addition, Tesla used paint materials containing hazardous substances such as formaldehyde, ethylbenzene and xylene, which could adversely affect the health of people living in the area of ​​the plant.
It is noted that at the moment Tesla has brought all its production standards back to normal.
