    Archaeologists have found plaques in the animal style in late Scythian burials

    (ORDO NEWS) — Archaeologists have found two cast bronze plaques in the Late Scythian burials of the first half of the 2nd century AD, excavated in the Crimean burial ground of Opushki. These artefacts were made in the animal style typical of finds from the 7th-5th centuries BC. They seem to have been reused as exotic items looted from an older burial.
