(ORDO NEWS) — In the Scottish Outer Hebrides, archaeologists have discovered two strange mummies estimated to be 3,000 years old.
The strangest thing that has never been seen before is that both bodies were buried in the fetal position.
Using DNA analysis, it was possible to determine that both mummies were collected from the remains of six different people who had no family ties to each other.
The oddities did not end there: the female skeleton was assembled from the bones of “the same age”, and for the male, the remains of people who died not just in different years, but in different centuries were used.
Further research also baffled scientists, it turned out that one of the mummies had all the teeth on the lower jaw, but not a single one on the upper.
