(ORDO NEWS) — For a long time, people believed that there are 9 planets in the solar system. In 2006, Pluto was removed from the list and scientists moved it to the number of dwarf planets.
At the same time, experts say that the Ninth Planet still exists. It is located on the very edge and therefore it is incredibly difficult to determine its exact location.
The theory of the existence of the Ninth planet was confirmed by the presence of small objects that were fixed in the asteroid belt located beyond Neptune.
The Hubble Telescope has found an exoplanet with a highly distorted orbit. It was named HD 106906. The exoplanet revolves around a binary star. NASA officials claim that this exoplanet will be able to pinpoint the exact location of Planet Nine.
HD 106906 was found back in 2013. The detected object is approximately 11 times larger than Jupiter. Only some time ago, scientists managed to explore the exoplanet’s orbit. They found that it moves in a very elongated and at the same time inclined orbit. Scientists are confident that the mysterious Ninth Planet can move in exactly the same way.
