(ORDO NEWS) — SpaceX ship with a crew of space tourists splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday, September 19, Moscow time. The broadcast takes place on the company’s website.

A team of non-professional astronauts on the Inspiration4 mission was in space for three days.

The crew – 38-year-old billionaire Jared Ayzekman, a veteran of the Air Force US Chris Sembroski and geophysicist and the pilot Sian Proctor. Hailey Arsenault, 29, also became a space tourist; she suffered bone cancer as a child. Due to illness, one of her legs was amputated; now the girl can move with the help of a prosthesis. Arsenault became the youngest American woman to be in space.

As previously explained in SpaceX, the purpose of the team sent into space was to conduct scientific research “aimed at improving the health of people on Earth and during future long space flights.”

In addition, the company told how the crew members spent their leisure time in orbit. In particular, they recorded interviews with several patients of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, talked with actor Tom Cruise, the head of SpaceX Elon Musk.

The launch vehicle Falcon 9 launched from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral on September 15 at 20:03 at the time of the East Coast of the United States (3:03 MSK 16 September).

On September 16, Elon Musk contacted the crew of the Inspiration4 space mission and announced that the flight was proceeding normally. On the same day, Crew Dragon entered a record orbit of 585 km.
