SpaceX crew narrowly escaped UFO collision
(ORDO NEWS) — A large piece of space debris flew past the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, and a few hours later the crew was ordered to prepare for a possible collision with a UFO. This is reported by the Daily Star.
The network posted footage of the separation of the Dragon capsule from the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket. The fragments of the capsule break off to the right, and then head back to the ship and sweep just a few inches away.
Hours later, the crew is alerted to a second unidentified object heading straight for them. It was ordered to prepare for a possible collision, but the crew did not have time to perform an evasive maneuver.
NASA spokesman Kelly Humphreys said that the SpaceX crew did not have time to dodge an approaching unidentified object, so they only had time to put on spacesuits.
US Space Command spokeswoman Erin Dick said the UFO was actually 45 kilometers away, so there was no threat of collision.
The Dragon Endeavor crew made it safely to the International Space Station on April 24.
