US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Ministers of some OPEC countries will hold a conference call on Tuesday to discuss the situation on the oil market and ways to begin implementing the agreed cuts in oil production immediately, rather than May 1, an OPEC source told Reuters.
“We proposed to immediately begin the transaction and not wait for May, as well as stop overproduction in April,” a source at OPEC told Reuters.
However, representatives of influential OPEC members – Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait, as well as non-member organizations of Russia, will not participate in the conference, two sources in OPEC said.
