(ORDO NEWS) — According to the municipal meteorological bureau, on Wednesday morning in Beijing there was a sharp drop in temperature: compared with Tuesday, it dropped by 13 degrees Celsius, accompanied by rain and snow.
Snow fell in mountainous areas in the suburbs of Beijing, and the highest daily temperature fell to 10.7 degrees Celsius from 23.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
From 5 am to 3 pm on Wednesday, Beijing received an average of 2.6 millimeters of rain.
Cold air from the north and weakening radiation due to thick clouds were the two main reasons for the drop in temperatures, according to Zhang Ling, the bureau’s chief forecaster.
Rain is forecast for Beijing again on Wednesday evening, with temperatures slowly rising from Thursday to Friday.
