Side effects of fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine revealed

(ORDO NEWS) — In Israel, they began to actively administer the fourth vaccination against coronavirus. Experts, in turn, shared the exact consequences of another dose of the drug. An earlier study by Sheba Medical Center in Tell Hashomeri was released on January 2, 2022. In fact, the side effects were found to be not much greater than those that a third dose of the drug would cause.

The last study involved 154 volunteers. The researchers, after giving the fourth dose of the vaccine, began to study their response to the injected drug. The following results were obtained.

  • About 80% of the volunteers noted the onset of a mild inflammatory process in the place where the injection was delivered.┬áSimilar symptoms were also observed in patients after the third vaccination.
  • 45% of the study participants complained about the occurrence of general malaise, which was recorded for a short period of time.
  • Another 10% of patients complained of muscle pain and rather severe weakness for no apparent reason.

Experts did not record any more serious side effects and health problems after the introduction of the fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The patients tolerated the vaccine normally, and the symptoms that arose quickly disappeared.

The head of this study, Gili Regev-Yohai, said that the fourth dose is completely safe and does not pose any threat to those people who are going to give it. In this regard, in the near future, researchers will be able to provide a report on how much the number of antibodies has increased after the next vaccination was delivered.

Israel recently approved the Pfizer booster vaccine, which will reduce the risk of spreading the disease among residents of nursing homes. Also, vaccinations began to be given in geriatric wards and other similar institutions. It is worth noting that this is the first country that plucked up courage and took such a step.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that at the beginning of last year it was Israel that became the first country to actively start vaccinating against coronavirus. She was able to achieve very high rates and reduce the number of infections to a minimum. For the entire time of the pandemic, slightly more than 1.3 million citizens were infected in Israel. To date, 35 thousand people are officially recognized as patients with coronavirus in the country.

Earlier we wrote that scientists told who can develop “superimmunity” to COVID-19. The immunity of those people who got two vaccinations and then got sick with the coronavirus will be much stronger than those who just received the vaccine.

American experts have established that in the first case, the level of antibodies will be approximately 1000-2000% higher than in the second. Such data was obtained using a recent study, the results of which were published in the scientific journal Journal of the American.

We also recall that WHO named the problems that the world will face after the end of the pandemic. The WHO believes that after the coronavirus pandemic ends, humanity will face many serious problems. This announcement was made by Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus during the tenth Global Conference on Health Promotion.
