(ORDO NEWS) — NASA researchers have noticed that some of the craters of the Earth‘s natural satellite contain “double shadows”, which means that the sun’s rays never get there, so these craters may be the coldest place in the solar system.
The slight tilt of the Moon (only 1.5 degrees) means that it has hundreds of craters that never get direct sunlight, which means that these places never heat up. Inside craters located near the Moon’s poles, temperatures can drop below -170°C.
