(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists from Keene University in New Jersey in the US found that friendship with people who lead an active lifestyle has a positive effect on those who lead a sedentary lifestyle.
The experts analyzed data from other studies that studied the effect of social interaction on increasing physical activity.
Based on the collected data, scientists developed a computer model that showed that communication between sedentary people and more active people changes the habits of the former for the better: people begin to exercise more often.
In the future, scientists plan to confirm their hypothesis and conduct tests involving real people.
