(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists from the Wuhan laboratory admitted that they were bitten while collecting samples in a cave where bats infected with coronavirus live.
One of the researchers said that the fangs of one animal went through the rubber gloves “like a needle.”
In addition, personnel working with “live viruses” inside the top-secret facility were unmasked, according to footage taken by a Chinese television group in 2017. Also, people working with bats were wearing no gloves.
These revelations could raise questions from the team of experts from the World Health Organization, which is investigating the origins of COVID-19 in Wuhan, the Daily Mail notes.
Earlier it was reported that the Chinese authorities included studies on COVID-19 among the objects falling under state secrets. Also in the PRC, caves with bats were closed, which could become carriers of the virus.
