Scientists found new cure for hangover
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Scientists have found a new cure for a hangover. As it turned out, extracts of some plants can alleviate the condition after a stormy night.
The study was carried out by scientists from the Mainz University Johannes Gutenberg. They conducted an experiment involving 214 people aged 18 to 65 years. Volunteers, divided into three groups, were supposed to drink alcohol for four hours. During this period, researchers took urine and blood tests from them.
Before the start of the experiment, the first group was given a solution of ginger root extract, Barbados cherry, cactus, ginkgo biloba and willow, as well as trace elements. The second is a solution only with trace elements, and the third is a placebo.
The next day, the hangover of participants in different groups manifested with varying degrees of severity. The best felt were the volunteers from the first group.
