US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Experts from the University of California came to an unexpected conclusion. For a long time, they studied the lives of women in East African countries and found that those ladies who are married to several marriages receive a lot of benefits, while men who have several wives, on the contrary, lose.
Scientists observed the lives of men and women in western Tanzania, and found that local natives who had married several times throughout their lives had more surviving children than women who were married only once. In addition, experts found that men who married several times had fewer surviving children than men who married only once in their lives. At the same time, the researchers emphasized that they studied tribes in which they very often exchange partners, and marriage is a fairly free term.
Married locals can leave their families at any time and connect their lives with another person. So far, researchers cannot explain why they found such differences between men and women of the same tribe. Moreover, they believe that the results of this study challenge all evolutionary stereotypes, based on the fact that the female mating strategy turned out to be too complex than previously thought.
