US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies warned the Russians about the high temperatures expected in June and July this year. So, in the Moscow region, the air can warm up to plus 30 degrees. In the south of the country, more than 35 is forecasted.
“In a number of regions of Russia, an increased likelihood of periods with extremely high temperatures is projected,” said RIA at the Research Institute.
The heat can lead to an increase in the number and strength of fires in the Far East and Siberia, experts warned. In Vladimir, Ryazan, Moscow, Tver and Nizhny Novgorod regions there is a high probability of ignition of peat deposits.
