US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — According to preliminary data, the Su-27 aircraft crashed in the Black Sea during scheduled flights, the search for the pilot of a crashed aircraft is complicated by difficult weather conditions, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.

“On March 25, around 20.10 in the Black Sea, 50 km from Feodosia, during scheduled flights, the mark on the screens of objective control means from the Su-27 fighter disappeared. At 20.11, an emergency radio beacon signal was recorded in the area,” the report said.

According to the report, to search for and rescue the pilot in the area of ​​the radio beacon, forces and means of search and rescue services of the Southern Military District were quickly raised: the An-26 plane and the Mi-8 helicopter.

“According to preliminary data, the plane crashed into the sea. Searching for a pilot in the area of ​​the operation is complicated by difficult weather conditions,” the department added.

It is noted that a small anti-submarine ship of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels located in the immediate vicinity of the scene of the incident were also sent for search and rescue operations.
