Russian “flying” armored car prepared for testing
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Russian “flying” armored car prepared for testing. It can be dropped using a parachute.
According to the newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta, referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the country has already completed development work on the creation of the Typhoon-Airborne armored vehicle. Soon, the developers will begin state testing of cars.
Based on the results of these tests, the Typhoon Airborne Forces will be adopted by the Airborne Forces. It is reported that armored vehicles will begin to enter the army this year.
The machine has a 4×4 wheel formula, combined protection of ceramic armor and reduced curb weight. It is noted that the “Typhoon-Airborne Forces” can be equipped with a large-caliber machine gun “Kord”, as well as other weapons on a turret.
Media previously reported that Typhoon Airborne could withstand explosions with a capacity of up to six kilograms of TNT under the wheel and up to four kilograms under the bottom.
