(ORDO NEWS) — Renault introduced the concept of a hybrid car with a plastic body.
Renault has developed a concept car made from 70 percent recycled materials. This is reported by The Next Web.
The Scenic Vision is an SUV whose distinctive feature is its design. The car is made from 70 percent recycled materials: the body and interior parts are made from raw materials obtained from the processing of plastic bottles. It is specified that the car is 95 percent recyclable.
The Scenic Vision also has a hybrid motor – a 215 horsepower electric motor is used in conjunction with a 16 kilowatt hydrogen fuel cell.
According to engineers, the car created at Renault can combine two energy sources. The company clarified that the car can travel up to 800 kilometers, but only if there is an extensive network of gas stations.
The car is equipped with a camera and monitor system, which, according to the creators of the concept, increases the driver’s view by 24 percent. Renault expects to launch Scenic Vision in mass production in 2024.
