(ORDO NEWS) — Researchers at the University of Nicosia simulated the explosion of a nuclear-tipped ICBM using computer simulations and estimated how the blast would affect people hiding inside a concrete building.
According to the results of the study, just being in a concrete building – until it is destroyed by an explosion – is not enough to survive. The most dangerous indoor places to avoid are windows, corridors and doors.
According to the researchers, the best place to hide is the corner of the room facing the explosion, and scientists also advise “crouching and hiding” behind some pieces of furniture.
