Putin will hold a meeting on oil amid market conditions
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The meeting with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on oil will take place against the backdrop of the situation in the markets and after the president discussed this topic with heads of other countries, including US leader Donald Trump, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
On April 3, Putin will hold a meeting on oil topics with the leadership of the Cabinet, the AP, and major oil companies.
“You know that the president discussed the situation on international energy markets with his international colleagues, including Trump. You know that the Ministry of Energy has intensive contacts with different countries, and you know the generally unfavorable atmosphere in the energy markets,” said Sands.
“This is all the reasons for the president to meet with relevant heads of departments and oil industry workers to discuss the situation,” he explained. When asked if Russia would take part in the OPEC + meeting on April 6, Peskov advised to wait for the meeting.
According to the source of RIA Novosti, at this meeting they will discuss the possibility of reducing production by 10 million barrels per day, there is no allocation of quotas yet.
