Prince Philip’s UFO study may be published after Queen Elizabeth’s death

(ORDO NEWS) — Prince Philip’s UFO investigation may be made public after Queen Elizabeth’s death.

The prince became fascinated with aliens after a stonemason reported a close encounter with extraterrestrial life at the home of Lord Louis Mountbatten, Philip’s late uncle, but until now his investigations into UFO sightings in the UK have remained classified.

Philip, who died in April 2021 at the age of 99, is credited with creating the so-called Royal X-Files on space and alien life.

And now the royal family is facing calls to go public with the investigation, according to the Daily Star. Previously, during the Queen’s reign, this work was kept secret.

Nick Pope, a former Department of Defense official who headed the UK government’s UFO unit from 1991 to 1994, claims that Philip and Sir Peter Horsley – his former Air Force colleague – spent years investigating alien sightings.

He said: “Philip followed developments, subscribed to UFO magazines and newsletters and interviewed witnesses.”

He also claims that Philip’s interest in the subject was deliberately hidden during the reign of the late monarch, as it would have caused a great deal of publicity.

Nick told History TV: “This is a very sensitive subject. The Queen’s husband is investigating UFOs. If the news got out, it would cause a sensation.”

Lord Mountbatten, who was assassinated in August 1979, and Prince Philip are said to have “talked a lot” about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

And Richard Dolan – an expert on UFOs – is convinced that the late monarch was aware of the conversations between Philip and his uncle.

He said: “We can assume that Queen Elizabeth knew about it.”
