(ORDO NEWS) — On April 30, 2015, Messenger sent the last frame of the surface of the first planet from the Sun to Earth and crashed into its rocky soil.

A year later, NASA presented a detailed map of the planet, composed of high-resolution images. In order to create a map of the surface of Mercury, they combined over 100 thousand images that Messenger took, circled the planet more than 4000 times.

The highest point of Mercury is a mountain with a height of 4.48 km, and the deepest place is 5.38 km from the surface.
