(ORDO NEWS) — On June 13, on the Red Planet, the Perseverance rover photographed a shiny, silvery object sandwiched between two rocks at the bottom of Lake Jezero crater.
Unfortunately, this is not evidence of advanced Martian life, but an alien (from the point of view of non-existent Martians) object.
Perseverance has discovered a shiny piece of foil that was once part of the thermal envelope that protected the rover during its descent to the surface of Mars.
Apparently, the foil was carried away by the Martian wind about 2 kilometers away from the landing site of the rover.
