(ORDO NEWS) — A group of researchers from San Francisco-based OpenAI has announced a machine learning system that can create 3D images from user text much faster than other systems.
Point-E first generates a regular image at the user’s text request, and then converts it into a three-dimensional form.
The result is a 3D model consisting of a set of points. Although such a model has low detail, it can be used in game development or animation.
