US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Secretary General of OPEC Mohammed Barkindo on the evening of Friday, March 20, held telephone conversations with the Texas Railway Commission (regulates the state oil industry – ed.), the parties agreed to continue consultations.
“A telephone conference has just ended with colleagues from the United States. A very successful conversation, very fruitful. We agreed to continue,” the source said, without specifying details.
As the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal previously wrote, Texas, the largest oil producer in the United States, is considering reducing oil production amid falling prices. Texas has not reduced production since the 1970s.
