And before you go to the doctor, you can try to review your diet, so nutritionist Elena Kalen listed the foods that cause insomnia.
Grilled meats, tomatoes, eggplant, canned foods, pickles, avocados and blue cheese can really cause insomnia in a person, the nutritionist says.
According to her, these products contain a large amount of tyramine.
This amino acid is converted into norepinephrine (the stress hormone) in the body. Its concentration in the blood increases in all stressful situations. As a result, we will feel overexcited and have difficulty falling asleep at night.
