US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — An international group of scientists conducted a study and found a way to block the penetration of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus into the human body, writes Cell magazine.
Experts have found that coronavirus attacks the body through a specific protein, and antibodies obtained from llamas can stop the effects of infection, said biologist from the University of Texas at Jason McLellan.
Scientists have combined two types of antibodies that are produced in the body by llamas, and received an effective anti-coronavirus drug.
The drug can stop SARS-CoV-2 by penetrating the human body as a vaccine. Scientists believe that the tool will be useful and already infected, as it will facilitate the course of the disease.
The study itself was launched back in 2016. Specialists planned to find an effective method to combat SARS-CoV SARS and MERS-CoV virus.
April 20, it was reported that Chinese scientists have found the most effective drugs for coronavirus. They simulated a SARS-CoV-2 attack on the body and found that chloroquine and favipiravir could block the virus.
