New COVID-19 discovered, which combines 18 strains

(ORDO NEWS) — In Brazil, a supervariant of the coronavirus has been seen, which has absorbed 18 different mutations, including the Brazilian variant, the British and the South African ones. A more dangerous virus originated in the city of Belo Horizonte, according to the cityam.com portal.

The strain turned out to be painfully familiar: it contains many variations of already known viruses. From the outside, it looks like the different types have merged into one, noted Renato Santana of the Federal University of Minas Gerais.

So far, research is underway on the new coronavirus. It is not yet necessary to talk about its greater infectiousness, but this is quite worth expecting. Also, scientists believe that the mortality rate will certainly increase.

Today Brazil is a country that is on the brink of a disaster in terms of human losses. The reason for this is both the pandemic and the famine. The growing number of deaths may be associated with an increase in the number of COVID-19 mutations.

Too slow vaccination only exacerbates the situation, since the virus has time to adapt to the drugs injected. It is already known that the South African coronavirus has learned to bypass the antibodies of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine. The future is not entirely bright.
