Navalny should have died on the plane
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — In a sensational article on the eve of the German edition it is said that the poisonous substance used against Navalny is a modernized version of Novichok. However, the authors do not go further than rumors and versions in the text, but they recognize the skill of the Omsk doctors.
According to information received by Der Spiegel magazine, following the attempted poisoning of Alexei Navalny, there are increasing indications that the Kremlin may be involved. German intelligence services believe that the criminals were guided by cold calculation.
In the case of the poisoned Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, information indicating the involvement of Russian government services is becoming more specific. According to information available to the magazine Der Spiegel, the poisonous substance that was used against Navalny is a modernized version of the already well-known Novichok nerve agent.
This poison is more “potent” than previous forms, the head of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) Bruno Kahl said last week during a secret meeting.
The composition of the chemical is the most important piece of evidence to the federal government that Russian President Vladimir Putin may be involved. It is reported that the more complex, newer, and more unusual the chemical composition of the poison, the more likely it is that access to it could only be obtained with the assistance of the Russian state apparatus.
Currently, the German security services proceed from the assumption that only any Russian special service could have poisoned Navalny on the way to the airport or directly at the airport. Since it has been proven that the opposition politician Navalny was under constant surveillance by the internal security service of the FSB, other possibilities are excluded.
While flying from Siberia to Moscow at the end of August, Navalny suddenly felt ill and had severe convulsions. Now a critic of Putin is being treated at the Berlin clinic “Charite”. He came out of a coma and is able to communicate.
Meanwhile, the German services have reconstructed the course of the crime.
In their opinion, the calculation of the criminals was that Navalny should have died while onboard the plane. Only the pilot’s quick reaction, who made a spontaneous decision to land the plane in Omsk, and Navalny’s subsequent treatment with an antidote at a local hospital, saved his life.
The Kremlin has consistently and persistently denied any involvement in the assassination attempt. Instead, Moscow accuses the federal government of wanting to politicize the incident. On Friday, Moscow demanded that Russian investigators be allowed to question Navalny.
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has also joined the investigation. According to the magazine Der Spiegel, the OPCW delegation visited the Charité in Berlin at the end of the week and received blood and urine samples from the poisoned politician for further research.
