US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The strike group of US Sixth Fleet ships left the Arctic, where they conducted exercises together with British ships, RIA reported with reference to the press center of the American Sixth Fleet.

The training involved 1,200 NATO sailors. A patrol group entered the Barents Sea on May 4. It included the destroyers of the URO “Porter”, “Donald Cook”, “Franklin Roosevelt” of the US Navy and the frigate URO “Kent” of the British Navy.

Together with them, the U.S. Navy P-8A and RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft and an unnamed submarine took part in the exercises. The group worked on tracking submarines and on May 8 left the Barents Sea.
