Mysterious loud explosion occurred in India
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — On Wednesday, a mysterious loud explosion in several parts of Bengaluru caused a panic among residents. Officials ruled out the possibility that it was an earthquake.
The Karnataka State Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNDMC) has confirmed that no earthquake has occurred in the city today. “Seismic activity will not be limited to one area and will be widespread. We checked our sensors and today no seismic activity has been recorded,” said KSNDMC Director Srinivas Reddy.
In a tweet, KSNDMC reported that the seismometers did not record any vibration of the Earth, as is usually the case during a weak earthquake. He confirmed that a loud, unknown noise had occurred, but his cause was not established.
The sound of the explosion was heard throughout the city from Kempegowda International Airport from Devanahalli in the north to Kengeri and Electronic City in the south. Many people were afraid that this could be an earthquake, as the doors and windows trembled after the explosion.
