Moon over Canada

(ORDO NEWS) — A Japanese meteorological satellite captured this stunning image of the Moon peeking out from behind the Earth‘s disk near Canada on Wednesday, March 9th.

The picture was taken by the Himawari-9 weather forecasting satellite, which observes the Earth from geostationary orbit at an altitude of about 36,000 kilometers.
