(ORDO NEWS) — In Brazil, a turtle that disappeared 30 years ago was found in the attic alive and unharmed.
A pet turtle that disappeared 30 years ago was found alive and unharmed in the attic and turned out to be a male, not a female. This is reported by the Daily Star.
Brazilian Natalia De Almedia said that in 1982 her mother’s turtle went missing. An animal named Manuela disappeared during electrical work. The family later moved into a new home and gave up trying to find it.
Thirty years later, in 2013, after the death of De Almedia’s mother’s husband, she returned to the old house to sort through the deceased’s belongings.
In one of the storage boxes, the woman found Manuela alive. “My mother arrived in tears because she could not believe that Manuela was found!” De Almedia remembered.
It has been 10 years since the turtle was reunited with his family. The animal is still doing well. The only thing that has changed is the sex of Manuela: during the examination by the veterinarian, it turned out that this is a male, not a female. Now the turtle’s name is Manuel.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of the English county of Yorkshire, separated from her father in childhood, tracked him down 58 years later and found out that all this time he lived an hour away from her. The search took only four days.
